How a UK University Built Search Demand for Its New Dubai Campus

A respected name at home meant little to students searching in the UAE. Programme content, education links and clearer pages built that visibility from the ground up. The university stays anonymous.

The starting point

The campus had just opened, and students in the UAE were not finding its programmes. Those programmes were also hybrid, part online and part on campus, which needed explaining before anyone would apply.

What changed

Classic SEO

Programme pages rebuilt

A clearer student journey, written with the terms students actually search.

Outreach for links

Well-respected education websites linked to the Dubai pages.

AI search and GEO

In-depth answers per programme

Detailed blogs on each programme, including how hybrid study works, are the type of content assistants quote and link to.

Sources assistants already use

Links from trusted education sites support credibility with Google and with assistants that lean on the same sources.

How the work ran, step by step

  1. Publish for each programme

Thorough posts answered the questions Dubai students have while comparing courses.

  2. Run education outreach

Respected sites linked to the Dubai campus pages.

  3. Restructure programme pages

Students could find what they needed to decide, in order, with a clear path to enquire. This drove the rise in leads.

  4. Use the words students type

Common search terms for each programme were worked into the page copy.

Lessons for universities entering Dubai

  1. Reputation in one country does not carry over to search in another. A new campus starts again.
  2. Explain unfamiliar formats, such as hybrid study, because students will not apply until they understand them.
  3. Measure on leads, so programme pages get as much attention as the blog.
